Therapist Thursday

Caitlyn Mullane

Caitlyn attended UAB for both undergrad and graduate school. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Management and a Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy. She fell in love with occupational therapy early on while volunteering with ‘I Can Shine’ in high school. Through the program, Caitlyn had the opportunity to teach children with Down syndrome and autism to ride a bike. She fell in love with the idea of teaching a skill that provided both fun and function, which led her straight to OT. She joined Puzzle Piece as Gretchen’s student in August of 2018 when she created a visual processing screener that we still use today. Following graduation, she became an official team member in early 2019! She has loved forming relationships with Puzzle Piece families and is thankful to be involved with work she is truly passionate about every day. #therapistthursday
